{the first rolls}

Recently I became friends with an old film camera.  I have to say, from the first click of the shutter I was hooked.  While I should be doing other things on this sunny afternoon, I am instead sharing some of the first shots from her.  The first really grainy shots were from the opening night at Ludlow in Seattle.  (if you haven’t been, you must!)

She hasn’t got a name yet, but she will.  She promises to be a wonderful companion~

  1. You bought those chairs??!! Sweet! I have been seeing your gorgeous prints all weekend ~ what a great shop Kim ~ I would love a spot like that here.

  2. Hi Kim! Love these images! My husband has a nikon from the mid 90’s that he has been letting my son shoot with. (film) I have recently hear you can buy a digital body and attach the lenses….do you know if this is true??

    P.S. Let’s open a shop on the east coast….your photos and pottery, Becky’s cuffs…LMM’s embroidery, my vintage goods….with buckets of fresh flowers and organic veggies and farm eggs in a nice little stand outside….and gluten free baked goods by Lissa. There is a general store that is going to be sold near me….this would be a definite bucket list item!

    Have a sweet day!

  3. Oh those are so very vintage looking, my brother still uses film he will never let go of it, such a great store!

  4. Gorgeous gorgeous texture in those photographs Kim. Do you think you could offer a photography workshop at your place? I would book straight away (though you may not be able to get rid of me once I am there)
