Spring has definitely arrived in the Pacific Northwest. Some of my favorite spring-flowering bushes are in full bloom and I am patiently waiting for my beautiful lilacs to be ready to cut and bring into the house. While their season is short, I take full advantage of it and fill every vase I have so that their fragrance fills the house! Sometimes the little things make me feel so incredibly grateful for this journey that I am on.
This weekend we are looking forward to having guests stop by to make some pottery or enjoy a bit outdoors in the sunshine. I am sure there will be bonfires and BBQ’ing as well as gardening and {hopefully} some hammock laying while reading some of my new cookbooks. I hope that you have some wonderful plans for your weekend mes amies~

Mikal
I don’t – it is one that is across from the little’s school and I loved it so I had to go take some photos!
I came across your blog via my friend Sanda’s blog (and i agree with you I too think she is ian incerdibly talented food stylist and photographer. I saw that you’re planning on making some changes to your south facing wall. You might want to consider looking into passive solar design. It’s not only ecological but can also greatly contribute to you comfort inside. I first lived in a passive solar home in Durham North Carolina from 1991-1996. I now live in a passive Solar apartment in Lisbon, Portugal. What can I say, I’m a big fan of passive solar design. Good luck with your plans.
Thank you Elena, I will definitely look into it! I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on it- as I have never heard of it I look forward to seeing what it is~
