It is raining today – and when I say raining, I mean POURING. It has been coming down all night. Funny enough, I don’t mind it today. Being a Sunday, handsome husband and I tend to like cozy, stay in, work on projects, reading, and eating days – and the heavy rain just makes it all seem that much cozier.
I thought, seeing as it was such a cozy day, I would share with you one of the BEAUTIFUL French Country homes I had the pleasure of touring when I was visiting this past April. This home sat across the valley from French bestie’s home. It was a gorgeous old French manor – and I believe it would be considered a mas, although maybe it was too big? I am sure one of you out there (french bestie?) can help clarify this for me~

The home itself was the main residence on an incredible property with endless rolling hills and a huge stable where they breed horses and run a riding school. They also have beautiful gardens, rows and rows of kiwi vines, and they are surrounded by trees. It really is a little slice of heaven~

The side of the house that faced the valley had a gorgeous pool and enjoyed beautiful sunsets~

The interior was all of the things I loved about France. It was elegant, and yet completely practical. It had beautiful architectural details, wonderful floors, high ceilings, and the kitchen was wonderful!

I adored the brick walls in the kitchen – they created such warmth and such a rustic charm.

They had the most incredible sinks – one stone and one steel~

Their long farm table in the middle of the room was perfectly worn~

hello !
just discover your blog.
Happy birthday !
This house could be a “mas”… it depend on where it is. A mas is a word for this king of house, but only in the south of France/Provence. The bricks are not usuals in Provence… I can mistake but it’s not in the south, it is ?
Bon voyage in India !
